The Northrop Grumman Engineering Program offers over $40,000 to $80,000 to deserving students yearly. The funds are spread over four years, with each recipient getting $2,000. The award covers the cost of books, tuition, room, board, and lab fees. 

Furthermore, this award is for high school graduates enrolled at an accredited college or university. These students must enroll in an approved Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics program. A committee of Northrop Grumman employees selects the winner of the Engineering Scholars award.

Eligibility Criteria for the Northrop Grumman Scholars Program 

To qualify for the Northrop Grumman Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be a resident of any of the ten states around the country, which are  Maryland, Alabama, California, Illinois, New York, Florida, Colorado, Utah, Ohio, and Virginia. 
  • Be graduating high school seniors of a public or accredited private institution in any geographical location in the United States
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
  • On the other hand, annual renewal is determined by satisfactory academic performance in all college courses (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university full-time in an approved Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science program
  • A minimum composite SAT score of 1150 or an ACT of 27Recipients of any other Northrop Grumman-sponsored Scholarship are not eligible.

Application deadline 

The deadline for the Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program is on the 15th of February every year. However, it often changes; hence, we advised applicants to check the Scholarship sponsor’s website for authentic and updated deadlines. The Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program Application 

Submission of application for this program is simple. All you need to do is to complete the online application available on the scholarship website. Then, submit it alongside the application requirements listed above. Also, be conscious of the deadline. 

Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees’ Children

Northrop Grumman Corporation is mindful of its employees, and it’s one of the reasons for establishing the program to help ease the financial burden of their college education. Furthermore, this program is open to assist employees’ children who plan to continue full-time education for the entire academic year in college. 

Additionally, it is a renewable yearly award for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited college of the student’s choice. Furthermore, this award is granted regardless of the student’s race, color, religion, national origin, age, or gender.

Eligibility Criteria for Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees’ Children

Applicants of the Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees’ Children must be: 

  • Dependent children, 26 years or younger, of full-time or part-time employees of the corporation as of the application deadline date. 
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or are already registered in a full-time undergraduate study leading to a bachelor’s degree at an accredited two or four-year college or university for the entire year. 
  • A full-time student with excellent academic performance or being part of community service and extracurricular activities. 

Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars are not eligible for the Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees Children. Students can only get one scholarship from Northrop Grumman. 

Award information 

  • Each selected student receives the sum of $2,000
  • Up to 125 students are chosen from the United States, and up to 5 recipients are selected from the United Kingdom and Australia.
  • These awards are renewable for up to three years or until the recipients earn a bachelor’s degree. Renewal is based on satisfactory academic performance
  • The awards are used for undergraduate study only
  • They will grant the United Kingdom and Australia award recipients in proportion to the number of applications received from these countries, with at least one award for each. 

Supporting documents 

Applicants for the Northrop Grumman scholarship must complete and submit their applications alongside the following documents: 

  • Most recent transcripts with grades. Unofficial or online transcripts must bear the school name, student name, grades, and credit hours for each course and the semester they took each course
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of community services and extracurricular involvement

How to Apply for the Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees’ Children 

Students applying for the Northrop Grumman Scholarship must submit their applications with their proof of residence, evidence of community services and extracurricular involvement, and most recent transcripts. 

Also, students must submit applications electronically. Also, ensure you submit applications before the deadline to avoid rejection.
